- She had a brief fling with fame in the 70's with "Midnight at the
- Oasis" and released 3 albums, with some pretty great musicians (Benny
- Carter played and did some arrangements on one of them; Dr. John was
- there as well). "Don't You Feel My Leg" was one of the high points of
- her first album ("Oasis") and is reprised on her new one on Black Top
- (I forget the title, but it should be easy to find). It's a New
- Orleans flavored album with support from Dr. John, a couple'a Neville
- Brothers and other NO musicians. I picked it up based on a positive
- review and am quite happy with it, though I admit it's a guilty
- pleasure. She does have a very unique voice, which she has taken care
- of -- she sounds very good these days.
