Gary Giddins did write the liners for CT's 3 Phasis. If you like his style
of writing, you may want to take a look at his books, including "Celebrating
Bird" (also a movie), "Faces in the Crowd", "Rhythm-a-ning", "Riding on a Blue
Note", amongst others. Several of these books are collections of essays or
