- +Try and find out who makes HD oil and buy it from them before HD puts
- +its label on. BMW oil is made by Spectro (non-synthetic). At the BMW
- +shop with the BMW label it costs a bit more than at a generic
- +motorcycle parts store with the Spectro label. It's very good oil, by
- +the way, and since the BMW (twins) have similar engines to the Harleys
- +(and a dry clutch) it probably would work well in your hawg. The
- +stuff called Golden Spectro is synthetic; the regular Spectro is not.
-
- The Harley Oil is made by several refineries to Harley's specs so
- it is not available commercially.
-
- I have been using Spectro in my bike and convinced that it is a
- better oil (but more expensive). Howver, I am going back to Harley
- oil. The Spectro is thinner, so engine vibes are felt more. The
- Harley oil cushions the vibes a little better. (Call me soft :-).
