  12. I just wanted to thank all of the people out there who responded to
  13. my questions about my Suzuki and it's voltage regulator or alternator
  14. problem.  Well, I replaced the regulator, and the bike started a few
  15. days ago, but it was cold, and I couldn't run it too long.  But, it
  16. kept stalling, and I'm afraid that it wasn't the regulator.  I tried
  17. yesterday to start it, and got a sprak which killed the electrical
  18. system if I pressed the starter.  If I unhooked and rehooked the
  19. battery, the lights would go back on, and presiing the starter killed
  20. that again.  Now, I'm having to have it towed up to a bike shop to be
  21. looked at ($45 just to look it over and do some minor tests).

  23. I also have a question.  My bikes in pretty good condition, besides
  24. this electrical problem, but if I have to have the alternator
  25. replaced, that's about another $150 over what I've already spent on
  26. the regulator.  what do you think about spending over $200 on a 13
  27. year old bike that will probably last me about another year?
