  13. That is a hard one.  Did you check the fluid level in the clutch
  14. master cylinder?  I do not think it is your problem, but out of
  15. 2 Sabres, I always had a problem with brake fluid disapearing out
  16. of the clutch master cylinder.  I do not think that you will be able
  17. to figure out what the problem is until you start tearing it down.
  18. Of course the clutch is the easiest to get to, but it sounds like
  19. a transmission problem to me.

  21. What happens if you rev the bike up in first gear to about 6,000
  22. and let the clutch out fast, and I do not mean pop it out.  It could
  23. be the slave cylinder as well, but that would not limit the problem
  24. to just one gear.  The fact that it goes into gear makes me think that
  25. the forks are probably ok.  Maybe you should drop the oil pan and see
  26. if there is any metal in it.

  28. Like you, my only form of transportation is an 84 V65 Sabre.  Luckily,
  29. the problems I have had are minor and easily solved.
