- I got a pair of red Lochhart Privateers (what a stupid name) last summer.
- Since the backs of the hands don't really get pressed against the leather,
- only the palms were red for weeks. Oh, the ribbing I took about 'Rosy Palmer'
- Syndrome.
-
- Your best bet is (a) wear surgical gloves under the leather ones, (b) trash
- 'em and buy flesh-colored gloves, or (c) run 'em through the washer a couple
- times in warm (not hot) water. Obviously, avoid the dryer. As in Europe,
- soap is optional.
