  13. My motorcycle was stolen yesterday from my garage. I had a U-lock on and the
  14. handle bar locked to one side. The bike, 90 CBR600, weighed ~450 lbs and the
  15. thieves simply dragged it out into the open then loaded it up into a truck
  16. and drove away. You can see drag marks all over the garage. No sign of atempt
  17. to cut the U-lock. They left the lock on the bike and dealt with it later.
  18. The only thing that would have slowed them down was to lock my bike to 
  19. something permanent. Since my apt. complex garage wall is all concrete, there
  20. was nothing to lock it to. Even if I had the COBRA lock on, the thieves would
  21. have done the same thing to steal my bike. So my conclusion is neither U-lock 
  22. nor COBRA lock would have done me any good.
