  26. Uh, that's irrelevant.  The Houston Chronicle mailed out 300
  27. first-class letters to known recipents (ie: they could phone them and
  28. ask them if they'd gotten the letter yet) around the state of Texas.
  29. Only about 280 of them ever made it there.  Only ~200 made it there
  30. within 7 days.

  32. I've personally seen it take 4 weekdays for a letter to leave my
  33. employer (the University of Houston) and get to my (then) home in the
  34. montrose area of Houston, a total distance of around 8 miles.
