  12. Are there any decent lower cost riding suits available?  The espoused
  13. one, Melinda, is seriously considering getting a bike as daily
  14. transport, and would like protection against road rash.  Ideally, it
  15. would be light weight/well vented (this is Texas), and easy to put on
  16. and take off.  She'd be riding mostly around town (Austin) so
  17. competition weight leathers are (at present) not really required.

  19. I guess some people will recommend jeans, but she doesn't own any, and
  20. it would be nice to be able to wear shorts to walk around in.

  22. Helmet recommendations would also be appreciated.
