  23. The problem is that today, free market forces do NOT dictate those
  24. salaries.  Health care consumers do not directly pay for the
  25. product/service they are purchasing, and the closed loop control of
  26. free market forces goes out the window.  People (more likely, their
  27. employers) pay insurance premiums, then the insurance companies pay for
  28. their health care.  There is less than no incentive for consumers to
  29. shop for cost-effective health care.

  31. Any doctor, engineer, or motorcycle mechanic who can earn a 6 figure
  32. income, in a true free market, is absolutely entitled to it.
