- Without getting into the "our country vs your country" thing, the problem
- is not that us "capitalists" are only out to get a profit. Compassion
- is one of the greatest things in the world but YOU CAN NOT LEGISLATE IT.
- If I decide to help a cause, then I'll take it in as my own and work like
- hell to make it successful (ex: helping others get proper care, etc). In
- such a situation, I don't want help or money taken from those who are not
- sympathetic to my cause. At the same time, I don't want my resources
- taken away to help other causes when I have my own battles to fight.
-
- Again, however, you have made the same mistakes others have made. Just because
- something is GOOD (ex: everyone has medical care), does not mean you have
- the right to make it the law. Just because you value everyone's life doesn't
- give you the right to take from me to fund your projects. Also, you have to
- consider the effects of rampant taxation on people. I am willing to work
- hard because it gives me needed money. Money is vote power. I vote which
- charities, stores, etc I think should survive by using my money. Take away
- my vote and I'm a lot less likely to be a hard worker. Also, I'm more
- likely to responsibly cast my vote than ANY gubment (Mercun, 'NGLUSH, etc).
