- I see that dunlop is offering sportmax radials in the 120/80zr16 flavor.
- I called their tech line and these tires are for a 2.5 to 3" rim, thus making
- them a retrofit for most mid- 80s sportbikes with skinny 16" front rims.
- Since I'm in the process of widening my rear rim to a 4.5 x 17, this brings
- up the prospect of a switch to sportmax radials, with a 150 or 160 series
- tire in the rear.
- My question is this: have any of the fine rec-dot-motoers tried this
- (new?) tire on their bikes? Isn't an 80 series a bit tall for a radial?
- any opinions or info on this tire would be greatly appreciated, feel free
- to email me at
