  13. When I was looking for my VFR, I test rode about six machines with
  14. various aftermarket exhausts and carb jettings. NONE of them were 
  15. as sweet, pleasant to ride, as quiet and tractable as the stone
  16. stock system. Oh yeah, I could easily feel that one setup had more
  17. midrange rush and another would be a little goosier at high rpm.
  18. But the stock system was quiet, the bike idled great, it's got a 
  19. fantastic power spread and has pulled reliably to 140 on the clock.

  21. Actually improving on stock these days takes serious work. Leave it 
  22. alone or return it to stock unless you're willing to make a serious
  23. commitment to development.

  25. I have a spare set of mufflers (right one has a scratch line from a
  26. low speed get off and is otherwise perfect) and a spare centerstand
  27. for the '87 VFR700FII for sale to anyone who needs/wants them. Make 
  28. an offer if you are interested.

  31. am, have succumbed.
