  12. The question was to compare the hp of the EX500 and the FZR600
  13. Here goes:
  14.        stock       modified    weight
  15. EX500       45 hp        65 hp      320 lb
  16. FZR600      75           85         400 lb

  18. These numbers are from the top of my head, and should be pretty close.
  19. They also represent real rear-wheel dyno numbers from my bikes, which
  20. I will of course describe.  Stock means Stock.  The mods to the FZR
  21. are supersport spec, ie, 5 angle valve job, muzzy pipe and dynojet kit.
  22. The mods to the EX are extensive... 550cc, flowed head, larger valves,
  23. cams, carbs, etc. (got 145mph at Daytona)  This is one of the fastest
  24. EX500's in the country.

  26. The point is....  The FZR is more powerful, and definitely faster, than
  27. the EX.  Handles much better.  MUCH MUCH better.  Get one.  (hell, get
  28. one of each - or everything - for yourself and compare)
