- | In an effort to prevent the crunching of knuckles in -15C temperatures,
- | I have decided to move the motorcycle into the basement for the rebuild.
- | I have removed the gas tank, rear tail light assembly, carbs, seat,
- | mirrors, etc.. so that the most I have left is the wheels, engine block
- | and handlebars. Being a V65 Sabre, it still weighs around 300 pounds.
- | Has anybody had a successful experience with negotiating a set of
- | stairs (7 1/4" rise, 10" run)?
-
- I did it once with a CB500. Going down the stairs sucked. Going up was
- the real adventure. Some how the bike had gained about 4000 lbs. I
- came up with the bright idea of using a 'come-along'. Probably
- would've worked if I'd something stronger than the door handle to
- attach it to. Good luck.
-
- | By the way, the wife is off on a business project for a couple
- | of months so this will just be our little secret.
-
- No problem, I'm moving mine into the kitchen while my girlfriends at
- work tonight. She'll never notice;)
