  24. In fact, it's more like it's nearly *all* the rider, not the bike,
  25. nowadays, since most modern bikes have competant handling and road
  26. surfaces are very smooth.

  28. I have a relatively old litre bike (7 years old - but designed about
  29. 20 years ago!), and some days I whip a brand new EXUP, another day
  30. some wee runt on a TZR250 goes underneath my elbow at twice my speed.

  32. I reckon the only things left to discuss, on *road* bikes, are:
  33.     looks
  34.     pose value    (this includes *theoretical* top speeds!)
  35.     comfort
  36.     cost/depreciatation
  37.  
  38. The following are automatic:

  40.     handling

  42. Example:
  43. How many people regularly top 120 mph?        Very few indeed.
  44. How many bikes can exceed 120 mph?        Most 250cc +.
