- You may have hit the problem with the comment about THROWING the model.
- 1/2a's do not respond well (in my experience) to someone pitching them
- like a fastball, if the launcher takes a few running steps and lets the
- plane fly out of his hand, you can almost be assured there won't be a problem.
- It sounds like the same Taylorcraft kit I built a few years ago, I ran a
- muffled 049 with the prop on backward(as suggested in an earlier post). It
- was an ok little plane, it would take off on grass (on a good day), could
- be hand launched by pilot, but was a little fast for scale. It was sorta
- like the Gimli glider when the power was off, but otherwise something nice
- for small field flying.
