- *URGENT*
-
- I noticed there has been no converstion concerning the proposed
- FCC 72-76MHz band reorganization that was explaned in a post
- made around the 12th of this month. (title was Frequency Alert)
-
- I hope that means that you are all too busy writing letters to the
- FCC and your congresspersons.
-
- THIS IS SERIOUS STUFF FOLKS!
-
- If the proposed changes go though we can kiss channels 11-42 off
-
- The plan puts mobile transmitters only 2.5Khz off of our channels!
- I doubt that it would be safe to trust even the best of narrow band
- receivers to reject a multiple time more powerful signal that close.
-
- If you haven't read the orginal posting, GO FIND IT! I could perhaps
- repost it, or the the author might.
-
- The last time something sneaky like this was done, amature radio operators
- lost a big chunk of spectrum to United Parcel Service.
-
- Big money is behind this push, and they have clout. OUR ONLY HOPE IS
- A GRASS ROOTS EFFORT TO STOP IT.
-
- DO SOMETHING NOW! Its *your* hobby and investment that you will save.
-
- (stepping down from box now...)
