- Unwarping a wing is probably my least favorite excercise in modeling but
- occasionally you gotta do it so heres my procedure.
- Fill your bathtub with HOT water. Now take a brush and brush a little
- water over the wing sheeting and wait a few minutes holding the wing in the
- steam, coming off of the water. Now, apply a twist in the opposite direction
- and block the wing on your workbench with the opposite twist in. After drying
- overnight, remove the wing and inspect for strightness. You may have to do this
- a few times to get it right. Small warps can be removed when covering, but
- you must re-check the wing when you go to fly and then rewarp it. Also, the
- wing will probably start to warp as the covering sags during the day.
- The straighter your wing is the better your plane will fly!
- If anybody has a better way to do this please post it. I'm always open to
- suggestions.
