- I must agree with other opinions expressed in this thread. First choice for
- one end of the push rod is Z-bends (neat, strong, easy, etc.). On the other
- end I use a threaded rod and quick link with lock nut. An alternative is to
- use threaded couplers SILVER SOLDERED to a rod with quick link. Bob Viollett
- has some nifty steel solder couplers for an outrageous price. Or you can use
- DuBro brass solder couplers. Roughen up the music wire where you plan to
- solder (I file small grooves in the wire), and clean the wire with acetone or
- flux.
- I would recommend against using EZ connectors despite the large number
- of modelers getting away with it. Ask yourself this question; Would you
- want to fly in a real airplane where the connections depended on one set screw
- and a plastic washer to keep the control surfaces functioning?
