- I've taken Dan's "One Day Satori" seminar and it was great. What's
- it about? He varies the content but a few sample snippets include:
- physical exercise for the lower self (huna tradition), spiritual
- senses, universal principles such as "giver-taker", here-now,
- effects of posture, diet, and spiritual excersize. Oh yeah, we all
- learned how to memorize 20 arbitrary things in any order, and to
- juggle. Fun course with a lot of impact.
-
- regarding WPW: There is certainly similarities to other "new age"
- fictional and non-fictional sources, but Dan brings his own style
- to the book. [Andy V.] points out that it reads like Castaneda.
- I would say this is only vaguely so, since Castenada is often
- dark (read: paranoid with evil forces, etc). Dan's approach in
- the book seems to mirror his approach in life: light and humorous.
- Also note that Castanada's works span several volumes.
-
- The "Warrior Athlete" has some unique approaches learning
- and sports in particular. I'd recommend it for people who
- might want athletics to be little more fulfilling.
-
- Dan also has written "Sacred Journey of the Peaceful Warrior"
- which details (some) of those years missing in his first book.
- There is another book which will continue from here SJPW leave
- off, apparently covering more the martial aspect (Aikido, I
- believe).
