- If you fight a single dog just kick it in the head or whatever.
- However, dogs in packs can be very dangerous. They will group
- themselves in a circle around you, barking and taunting you.
- Occasionally one will dart foreward to take a snip.
- If this happens, they want you to attack a lone member on the circle.
- The attacked dog will retreat and the remainder of the pack will fall
- onto your flank. My advice is, if circled, move slowly to a
- better position and kick anything that comes close.
- If a pack is running after you (and you are running away)
- be aware that dogs are pretty fast and will probably catch up with you.
- Put something at your back like a tree or boulder or wall, whatever,
- and fight them off if you have no sanctuary within short running
- distance. Some wild dogs might have rabies so if you are bitten it
- would be a good idea to get the appropriate shots. But these dos
- will try to bite chunks out of you. Don't let them, and don't do
- anything stupid like run when you are circled or freak over an individual.
- I think if you hit a dog on the center of the top of the head hard
- it will be killed. I can't confirm this though, I usually just kick
- them in the head or side if they bug me.
