  17. Well, what do you mean by "real"? Chi is, essentially, about how 
  18. your mind and body interact. It can easily be "all in your mind"
  19. and still be very real. As a physical concept, I don't think
  20. it is real (there is no measurable energy, in the physical sense
  21. associated with it, for example.) However, I've found from experience
  22. that as a psychological concept, it is very real.
