- Nope. As the history goes...I start with Celts being there. Romans
- there for a while. Their influence fades. Angles, Saxons, and Jutes,
- *Germanic* tribes, invade and take over England. Vikings raid
- periodically, settle in some places. The Normans were vikings who
- settled (read took) the section of France now known as Normandy. Lots
- of argument with French king. William takes to sea and conquers the
- anglo-saxons, who had conquered the celts. And so now we call pig-meat
- pork instead of pig, and deer meat is venisson instead of deer. ;=)=
