  25. I've never actually been down there, but there are two other places in NJ where
  26. there are some ridiculous road signs. On this one street in North Caldwell, 
  27. there's a sign that says "VEHICLES AND PEDESTRIANS ONLY". Well, no shit 
  28. Sherlock! I thought until I figured they were trying to keep someone from 
  29. horseback riding there. Also, on the south bound Garden State Parkway, right
  30. before the Raritan river bridge, there's a sign that stretches across the 
  31. whole roadway, with arrows pointing to all five lanes, and saying simply 
  32. "THRU TRAFFIC". This one I haven't figured out. They usually put these signs
  33. right around exits to guide the traffic, but this one is at least a half mile
  34. past the nearest exit. Anyone going past it already knows they're going over
  35. the bridge and into the tollbooth, so that sign's necessity eludes me, unless
  36. the NJ Highway Authority needed to give someone some sweetheart business.
