- A thread about woodchuck extermination techniques a while ago reminded me
- of a story. An acquaintance who works in the local arboretum called the
- Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources about woodchuck "hunting"
- seasons and permits without identifying himself. He was told that one
- can shoot 'em any time of the year without a permit. He also asked
- whether live trapping was an effective technique of control. The answer
- was yes and that he could release the live woodchucks into the arboretum
- to get rid of them.
