Hello! I'm just catching up on past postings and the line regarding the Americanhigh bush cranberry has really caught my interest. This may be the shrub
we've been looking for. Our house is on a corner lot in Central NJ, and we'd
like to plant a natural privacy screen along the street-side. This is the North-side of the house and it is shaded (some fully, some partally) by an Oak canapy.
Because of the oaks, the soil is naturally acidic, although we lime the lawn to
help sweeten it. We'd like to plant an attractive border, and the high bush
cranberry sounds great. Would the plant thrive in the conditions I've described?
If not, what do you suggest? We were originally thinking of Rhododendrons.
