- Yes, I would not. Doing so would be both morally and legally wrong.
-
- >How many times has the FBI

-
- Every time, I guess. I would not make copies of any video I didn't own.

- Yeah, and the reducto ad absurdum of that attitude is that people
- continue to loot and kill in Bosnia, and no one seems able to stop them
- either. "No one can stop them" doesn't mean that no one _should_ stop
- them, or that "they" acquire some right to do what no one can stop them
- from doing.
-
- I will admit that I pirated Apple II game software in high school, and
- that I taped other people's records in college. Once I graduated and hit
- the real world I thought about the ethics of copying things (and the
- indirect adverse effect on my career as a software designer) and gave it
- up. Maybe making enough money to afford more of the things I wanted had
- something to do with it too.
-
- C'mon guys, are you all trying to say "What? Behave according to the law
- and ethical principles? Like, how uncool!" That's bullshit.
-
- Let me ask everyone another fun hypothetical question: If you could rape
- a woman of your choice [female readers can substitute "beat someone up"]
- with absolutely no chance of being recognized, caught or punished, would
- you do it? This question was actually asked in a poll and a really
- disturbingly high number of men (20%?) actually said "yes".
