- Not to sound obnoxious, but if you're "not quite sure what [the] DSP chips
- do exactly," then don't make assumptions.

- No. There are some major holes in this logic. It's legal to make a copy of
- a book that you own, for your own use. Book companies aren't "obligated" to
- sell Xerox machines along with their books for anyone who's interested.
-

- "Then fine." Well, that's the whole point. DSP stands for Digital Signal
- Processor - the chip is used to perform scaling and rotation tasks or do
- additional graphics processing which might make the system slow down otherwise.
- Only three games actually contain DSP games - Pilotwings, Super Mario Kart
- and supposedly Dungeon Master (not released in the US yet). If it was
- copy protection, it would be in every game. Then, copier companies would put
- a DSP in the copiers and allow everyone to copy everything anyway.

- This goddamn debate wastes so much bandwidth - Guys, GROW UP. Who cares?
- Copier "opponents": If you don't know facts on these things, then ask before
- you start rattling off meaningless tangent arguments. Copier "supporters":
- Don't waste your time discussing it - you're not changing anyone's minds.
-
- There's always going to be the person who has "never copied an audio tape"
- and the person whose video collection looks suspiciously like Video Factory's
- new releases section, even though they work at Burger King. Give up. This
- is a waste.
