  24. I agree completely! I find it unbelievable that some people (for loss of
  25. a better word...) actually spend time harrassing the root at icsib18
  26. _who_have_nothing_whatsoever_to_do_with_the_IGS_!!! (except for having
  27. kindly allowed IGS to be run there, of course) Besides being very very
  28. very childish in the extreme (to put it mildly), it is also equally
  29. stupid...  I begin to wonder just when are we going to see the end of
  30. people who presume to know what *other* people want...  never, I guess. 
  31. Some people should never have been granted internet access (thoughts of
  32. room-temperature (in Centigrade scale) IQ spring to my mind).

  34. I really think that the IGS is a Good Thing, that it helps promote go in
  35. the Western World (and in the Eastern, too), that it improves the skill
  36. of the players (and onlookers) attending, and that it actually is just
  37. about the only real chance to play for *LOTS* of people!

  39. And some people would want to see an end to it! Gawds above!!!

  41. I do and will consider the act of running/improving the IGS a generous
  42. thing, for actually it must be very costly in terms of time and effort!
  43. I count it in the same category as keeping the go archive (thanks,
  44. Adrian!), which also must be time consuming.

  46. I really find it hard to credit that some people would think that trying
  47. to log into icsib18, or that sending mail to its root (and in
  48. unprintable language at that!), would improve anything at all.  It has
  49. been clearly stated in lots of places that this does nothing of the
  50. kind! Lots of people have done wonderful work, building clients,
  51. answering all kinds of questions (Adrian even putting up a FAQ), and
  52. helping people in all kinds of ways.

  54. I really detest the people who do this kind of harm!!!!! Go get a life!
  55. If you cannot agree with the concept of the IGS, KEEP OUT OF IT! HANDS
  56. OFF!!! *IGS* *is* *not* *compulsory*!

  58. I myself am a regular of the IGS but have nothing to do with the IGS
  59. otherwise, except for some correspondence, and having the fortune to
  60. call them friends of mine.  I have been in the IGS from the beginning, I
  61. have seen it grow and improve, I have seen most of the growing pains
  62. (even that one day when trying to start a game crashed it).  I really
  63. want to express my absolute and undying gratitude for these selfless
  64. people who do the enormous job of improving and running it!

  79. the thing to do.

  82. sad affair and thinks this post not quite proper.  This post is my first
  83. ever that can really be called a flame, and truly this affair has made
  84. me ***_VERY_*** angry indeed.  It's the very first time in *years* I've
  85. really been angry.
