  14. There is one book I strongly recommend for beginners--
  15. it's called "How to be a Winner at Chess" by Reinfeld
  16. (yes, Reinfeld!).  It's a small book, costs only
  17. $3.95, but it has a lot of essential material, and
  18. is very easy to read.  Look for it!
