- Partner has already passed so there is no practical danger of you making a
- slam. The spades are so good that even if you have a heart fit it should make
- little difference to the number of tricks available to you whichever suit you
- play in.
- I would just bid 4S first time round and be done with it. The worst that can
- happen is 1S, 1D and 3 H losers for 2 off which is not as problem at teams and
- only occurs in pairs when partner has nothing and they can probably make 6C
- (although that may not be all that relevant).
- I think any other bid probably either gives your side a problem or allows the
- opponents to find their fit.
