- Whew! I didn't quite expect *this* much of a firestorm over this one.
- Fortunately, my partner and I were able to say "It's only one board"
- when all was said and done.

- concurred, insisted East did not have a 3D bid. East, meanwhile,
- was practically certain 3NT was not the right place to be, and
- went into a sort of "damage control" mode. And it was pointed
- out to me...
