  11. Whew!  I didn't quite expect *this* much of a firestorm over this one.
  12. Fortunately, my partner and I were able to say "It's only one board"
  13. when all was said and done.

  15. Interestingly, no one blamed the double.  West, as much of the net
  16. concurred, insisted East did not have a 3D bid.  East, meanwhile,
  17. was practically certain 3NT was not the right place to be, and
  18. went into a sort of "damage control" mode.  And it was pointed
  19. out to me...
