  12. Here is how the "Hitler" argument was posited to me:

  14. "You talk about how much you admire Gandhi and he was a vegetarian.
  15.  Hitler was also a vegetarian.  Does that mean you admire him?"

  17. It IS well documented that Hitler was a vegetarian, at least a 
  18. pico-ovo-lacto-cheat-a-lot vegetarian.
  19. I read all about it in a book called "A Vegatable Passion" (can't remember
  20. the author).

  22. The whole argument that Hitler's vegetarianism suggests anything
  23. "undesirable" about vegetarianism is absurd because:
  24.  
  25. 1. He was a vegetarian because he had a sensitive stomach and he felt it was
  26. more healthy.
  27.  
  28. 2. Unlike Gandhi, his vegetarianism was not an integral part of his
  29. philosophy, inseparable from the man's teaching.  Hitler did not press
  30. vegetarianism on the people.

  32. 3. This argument seems just as valid:

  34. "You talk about how much you admire Gandhi and he was heterosexual.
  35.  Hitler was also a heterosexual.  Does that mean you admire him?"

  37. 4. What I've begun to notice in the question of vegeatarianism is many of the
  38. objections to vegetarianism seem to "invert" reality. (especially healthwise)
  39. As far as I can tell, factory farms are comcentration camps.
  40. Actually, they're even worse.  Not only are the animals treated like Hitler
  41. treated the jews, but their meat is poisoning people everyday!
