- This is what I do to keep a lettuce for (maybe) weeks!
- Bang the core end on a firm surface a few times to loosen the core,
- twist to remove (if that is not successful remove with a plastic knife,
- do not use metal). Put under a running tap (core end up) until thewater
- starts running from the lettuce. Turn upside down and leave to drain
- for a few mins, shake as much water off as possible. Put inside a clean
- plastic bag, tie end to make airproof. Put in the vegetable crisper
- of your fridge and just remove as many leaves as you need as you want
- them, retie until next time. (You may need to drain out a bit more water
- the first time). Putting in a tupperware container with a lid would
- be just as good I guess.
