- The mostly-nylon types hold up MUCH better than the cotton ones in my
- experience. I have a pair of "Elan" cotton-lined smooth nylon breeches
- (Millers used to distribute them, they have a funny contour cut
- and no kneepatch) that are in great condition after 11 years!
-
- I've had really bad luck with the cotton breeches. I got a couple of
- pairs when they first came out and they were REALLY comfortable
- and I thought they were just going to be THE best thing, but they
- started to rip at the seams and where the patches were sewn on in
- only a couple of months. They may have fixed this problem since,
- but I've never bought another pair.
