- The rabies problem is getting worse in New England, but is not new. In
- 1986 I had my horses vaccinated for the first time because I was moving to
- Storrs. My new vet had notified me that there were known to be rabid bats
- in the area. The racoons may be bringing more in, but it is not a new
- problem.
