  13. Hi Everyone,
  14. After the trick my niece pulled on me, (backing out of selling her
  15. horse) and me posting it in RE, I swore I'd never do this again,
  16. but....here I go again...(silly me!)

  18. I have a friend that works in a near-by Safeway store, and she has
  19. one horse too many, and would like to find this one a really good 
  20. home.  I went out to her house and looked at him, and if I had the $$$$
  21. I'd take him myself, but on a bus driver's salary....(hah!)
  22. What follows is the information I got from her, and from my own personal
  23. observation of the horse.  Believe me, he is a real gem.

  25. Horse's name is Skeeter, 7 1/2 years old, half Arab, half Quarter horse.
  26. He's 15 hands, Sorrel, with a blaze and 3 white socks.  His mane is long
  27. and full, as is his tail, same color as his body.  He looks like an arab,
  28. but has a wide chest, with a deep girth, (good lung power)
  29. He is well trained, although he probably needs some 'brush up work, or 
  30. fine tuning. He has been extensively rode on lots of trail rides, been 
  31. used in the poker runs at the Flying M ranch in McMinnville.  
  32. He loads, clips, bathes, easy to shoe, well mannered, no vices, meaning 
  33. he doesn't kick, crib, bite, or buck, ect.  His disposition is very kind,
  34. and although he is just a bit wary of strangers, he is friendly.  He's 
  35. an easy keeper, and is well cared for, with documentation for all shots,
  36. wormings ect. 
  37. I checked him pretty much all over, and couldn't find one thing wrong with 
  38. him, feet, legs look great, hooves are sized proportionate to his body,
  39. and are in excellent shape. While I was petting him, he did not show the 
  40. least amount of nervousness at being touched anywhere, and when I run my
  41. fingers down his back, he didn't flinch at all.  He is sound.
  42. I could picture this horse doing dressage, or running barrels, or team 
  43. penning...you name it, but the thing that came to mind the most would be
  44. endurance...I think he would be a great endurance prospect, he has the 
  45. perfect build for it, and he has the look of an endurance horse. 
  46. His eyes are clear and bright, no discharge from his nostrils, breathing
  47. rate was good, and he has the prettiest face,...well, you'd just have to 
  48. see him for yourself.  Yes, I fell in love with him, and like I said, I'd
  49. buy him in a minute if I could, but all I can do is to let others know
  50. about this 'prize', in the hopes that someone will find him and fall in 
  51. love with him the way I did.

  54. Skeeter's price is ONLY $1200, and he is located in Gaston, Ore.  They
  55. have access to a nearby indoor arena, if you care to try the horse out.
  56. I don't think that this is one horse that will last too long, so if you 
  57. think he sounds like something you'd like to have, better hurry before
  58. someone else snaps him up.
