- In the western United States rabies has long been a seasonal
- problem that horse owners have had to deal with. My veterinarian
- recommends vaccinating for rabies and about half of all the horses
- she has as patients are vaccinated for rabies by their owners.
- I have my horses vaccinated for rabies every year, I recommend it.
- It is a small price to pay for reassurance. In this area rabies is
- a seasonal disease, it shows up in the summer when the heat and
- dryness drive animals out of their normal ranges to search for water.
