  12.     I have to agree...great idea! This is my first post to the group
  13. (just figured out how recently), but I've been reading since September or
  14. so.  I am a biology/premed major here at Johns Hopkins (formerly an
  15. engineering major).

  17.     I started loving horses as a three-year-old kid in suburban Maryland
  18. (Millersville, for you UofMd folks).  My parents didn't try to stop me, but
  19. riding wasn't possible.  When I was 11, we moved to southeastern
  20. Pennsylvania (fox hunting central).  For my birthday, I got lessons. They
  21. never guessed I'd stick with it for 7 years!!!

  23.     Unfortunately, I have never owned a horse. We just moved to a more
  24. rural area in Maryland, right across the way from a horse farm
  25. (((JOY!!!))).  Perhaps I'll get to ride again....had to quit for college.

  27.     Oh, I'm almost 20 and am a sophomore here.  I thought I wanted to be
  28. a people doctor, but working in a kennel all last summer (hardest job I'll
  29. ever love--great dogs and cats and rabbit and ferret) and growing up reading
  30. and watching TV shows of "All Creatures Great and Small" are making me think
  31. seriously about being a vet (large-animal, maybe some small too).  Any vets
  32. out there or people who know about becoming one who can help me find out how
  33. to get info on vet schools and how to get in?????  Any help appreciated.

  35.     I love to jump like a wild woman, but trails are great and dressage
  36. is loads of fun.  I dream about fox hunting, but for that I need my own
  37. horse.  I spent much of my lessons flying over fields and hurling myself at
  38. jumps on two look-alike horses--Snuffy and Cid. God, I miss 'em!!!!
