- My wife has a 7yr TB gielding, which she has owned since he was 4. He is
- a bay with black points. He does dressage, side-saddle, jumping, enjoys
- hacks and is now being broke to harness.
- She has been riding for about 6 yr , but had a bad accident (horse related)
- in the fall of 91, and is trying to get back to where she was then.
-
- I've been riding for 26 months, in dressage. I've tried some jumping
- but I don't find the forward seat comfortable. I've been in three shows
- and have got two seconds at the last one. I sold my first horse,Gypsy, a
- 14 yr Quarter/arab.
-
- My next horse I had was a registered 10 yr TB geilding, who has done
- basic dressage, hunted and jumped. He was lame after about two months
- that we owned him. It turned out to be protozoel myeloencephalitis,
- which there is no test for. No matter how much tranquilizer he would
- be on, he would always be in pain.
- He was put down Dec. 13, 92 .
-
- Jan. 20, 92, we purchased Trooper. He's a clydesdale/throughbred, 16.1
- H.H., 3 yr old in March. Has been ground driven and green broke to
- saddle. We want to restart his training, so there will be no riding for
- at least a year, but will work on driving (with hopes of getting a
- cart), and lunging. I guess I have to get in shape so I can run with
- him. :( :)
