- Actually, a Paint cannot be registered as a Quarter Horse, even though
- the Paint is essentially a Quarter Horse. The AQHA only registers
- solid-colored horses. White cannot extend up beyond a certain point on
- the legs, etc. An offspring of two Quarter Horse parents that exhibits
- enough white can be registered as a Paint, but it cannot be registered
- as a Quarter Horse.
