- Has anybody out there used a Wintek saddle for trail riding?
-
- My old Blue Ribbon is coming apart, and I'm quite attracted to
- the Wintek saddle -- light, low maintenance, etc. I have heard,
- however, that the Winteks are bad to make hot spots and that they're
- sometimes harmful to older horses' backs.
-
- I mainly do shorter (7-15) mile trail rides in moderately mountainous
- conditions on fairly well-developed trails. Our main problem around
- here is stream crossings, which are generally quite rocky.
-
- Any information would be appreciated.
