  17. I'm David Plotkin.  I work as a Software Consultant for Sun Microsystems in
  18. the Wall Street office in New York City.

  20. I'm 32 and I've been riding about 2 years.  I started riding after watching
  21. my girlfriend (now wife) Liz take a lesson.  She rode when she was young, and
  22. was just getting back into it.  I thought it looked pretty fun.

  24. I started with private lessons and soon joined a group.  I can tell you that
  25. Liz was not happy when I progressed enough to join her group!  I've learned
  26. quickly, and about 6 months ago I found a small group lesson taught by an
  27. excellent instructor, very "equitation" oriented.  I'm jumping 3' courses of
  28. 8+ fences now, and I take two, 1.5 hour lessons a week.

  30. Liz got over her jealousy, and we take these lessons together.  We have also
  31. gone on some riding vacations, such as trail riding at the Firefly Ranch
  32. in Vermont, and cross country jumping and beach riding at the Stracomer
  33. Riding Center in Co. Donegal, Ireland.  That was our honeymoon, and I told
  34. everyone about that last September.
