  29. Sorry to burst your bubble but I have purchased gold needles locally and
  30. all of them have turned.  I do not know to what the manufacturers are 
  31. plating the 24 karat gold but my needles tend to be "stripped" after about
  32. 4 months of constant use.  And once these are stripped, the inevitable 
  33. rusting sets in.
