- Hello to everyone from sunny Newfoundland. I've been following the
- discussion on wool types, knitting lace etc. and the combination of topics
- plus the fact that one poster is from Iceland reminded me that I've got
- several large skeins of *very* fine Icelandic homespun that have been
- crying out to be knitted up for the past ten years!!!! I bought them when I
- spent a summer in Iceland doing field research and fell in love with the
- knitted lace scarves and shawls I saw for sale. However, I didn't get any
- patterns, either then or since. Having just reorganized my wool into one of
- those plastic zippered bags that an electric blanket came in, I was again
- reminded that I really *should* knit that stuff up :-). I guess you'd call
- it one-ply - it's in several shades of Icelandic-sheep-au-naturel. Any help
- would be very welcome.
