  13. Well, the subject line pretty much says it all.  I'm looking for sewing
  14. machine recommendations for my mother.  I currently have a Viking (I'm
  15. not sure what model it is) and I like it, but my mom was wondering
  16. what other brands are out there that are reasonably priced (not over
  17. $1000) and are good for normal to heavy sewing. (By heavy sewing I mean
  18. through heavy materials and tough materials -- especially those used
  19. for backpacking equipment--cordura, gore-tex, etc.)  Email or post 
  20. responses.  If this is located in an faq somewhere, please email where
