  15. Incidentally, most rookies will respond.  But the phenoms who
  16. get popular really fast stop responding.  For example, Frank Thomas
  17. answered for a little while, but he doesn't anymore.

  19. The monkey wrench now is that card companies put out cards for touted
  20. phenoms like Todd VanPoppel before they ever get anywhere near AAA ball.
  21. Ergo, they stop signing long before they get the chance to be good or
  22. crappy.

  25. hall of famers.  Someday I'll show you my cards signed by Steve Jeltz
  26. and Joe Charbonneau.
