- Toy Robot FOR SALE:
-
- ZOBOR (The Transporter) of the Mighty Zeroids, made by Ideal in 1968;
- No. 4772-0.
-
- -robot itself is near mint++, everything still works (motor, throwing arm)
- robot is primarily copper colored (plastic)
- -in original plastic display case, which doubles as his "Cosmobile"
- with 2 detachable wheels; Cosmobile is near mint too. Cosmobile
- is dark turquoise, wheels are yellow (both plastic)
- -clear plastic display case *cover* w/Zeroids logo- has cracks along 3
- side edges. Plastic case is roughly 5 1/4" wide by 8 1/2" tall.
- -have original backing card, which includes the operating instructions
- and Zobor/Zeroids labeling. As part of the labeling, the card
- has an artist's color drawing of Zobor & Cosmobile on some
- planet's craggy surface on the front (drawing is 5 1/4" x
- 3 11/16"), and smaller color drawings of Zerak (The Destroyer),
- Zobor, and Zintar (The Explorer) on the back. Entire card is
- ~ 12 1/4" tall by 5 1/4" wide. Card is made of cardboard.
- This backing card attaches to the back of the case for display
- via little pegs and holes.
- Card is slightly worn, with one crease (fold) 1/2 way down (not
- visible from front when attached to case); still has original
- cellophane tape on it that was used to hold card on case when new
- and original staple used to hold card together
- -all original options and features, including:
- plastic display case which becomes his cosmobile trailer
- motor still works, forward/reverse, uses AA batteries
- 2 extra hands- "magnet hand" & "throwing hand"
- right arm is spring loaded; you cock the right arm, and move
- the left to release it. Can throw things or can
- be used as "Karate Smash" (Ideal's wording, not mine!),
- etc.
- 2 "Lazer Bombs" to be used with the throwing hand
- "automatic reversing ramp" (yellow plastic with Zeroids lettering
- on it)

- This was the second of a series of Zeroid robots released
- by Ideal circa '68-69 or so.
