  13. Not necessarily in my yard, but how about from my office window?  It's
  14. really not fair, because that's the control room of the Very Large
  15. Array (VLA) (perhaps you've heard of it :-).  I'm looking out on about
  16. 100 square miles of high plains, surrounded by mountains, with 85-foot
  17. dish antennas for perches.  Yes, I've seen peregrine, prairie,
  18. kestrels, and, as I type, am watching an immature ferruginous perched
  19. on an old wind tower.
